fall

It seems so dark and chilly in SF these days. OK - it's often chilly in SF. But really, although we don't have the spectacular seasonal changes that those of you in other parts of the world get to experience, you can just tell when summer's fading and the colder, darker months are coming. I love this time of year, so I'm not complaining - after all, I'm a fall baby.
So I made this gal to honor and celebrate the season - note the fall colors, and the mohair scarf. Also, note the extremely enlongated body! I'm really pleased with this. Ever since I decided to sit down and really design some toys - a few years ago - I've been doodling fellows with extremely long bodies, little round heads, and arms and legs stuck way down low on the body. And up till now I'ver never made one, for one reason or another - but here she is! Very strange but pleasing in some odd way, don't you think?

Hi Jess love latest new toy design. Is there a pattern available for the toy, if so, how much etc need details. Don't want to miss out ever again on any of your knitted toy designs.
Regards
Faye
She looks so African - like a lady who once had rows and rows of necklaces stretching her long lovely neck. She's great!
Oh she is adorable!! like something from a Dr. Suess book.
Great work!
i totally love the proportions on this one :) very cute and strange at the same time.
Gorgeous and so evocative of this time of year. She's someone to keep you company once the rain starts.
She is very pleasing to look at. You can really hug her and probably feel like you are hugging something substantial and not something diminutive that sort of disappears in the crook of your arm. I love her droopy ears.
She's absolutely adorable :)
oh look at that expression on the face, she is lovely...i hope you will write down the pattern:)
By the way, I've just finished "Kate" and very proud of it, thanks a lot for the pattern! Best...
exquisite! lovely colors and the shape is very intriguing. i must ask though... how do you get her to stand up?
Aww very cute - I love the ears and the scarf best!
Oooohh...very cute...love the looong body and scarf ;o)
Oh - the cunning little ears! She looks absolutely and completely huggable (v. nice for cold fall nights!)

She's lovely! She looks like a cross between a sheep and a giraffe.
