squirrel ghost

Thanks for all the "welcome back"s. I appreciate it!
As I mentioned in my last post, I drew a lot over the last month or so. Really, I didn't do much else, creatively speaking. I wanted to just doodle aimlessly and endlessly and see what came up. I don't think there were any masterpieces in there but it was a) really fun and b) really helpful. Lisa S. was kind enough to ask to see some of them, which is something I've always wanted to do, and since I don't really have any other projects to show (those are in the works) I think I'll do some drawingy posts. What the hey! I'm going to put them in this gold frame because it kind of amuses me.
This is a little character I created, named Squirrel Ghost. He's the ghost of a squirrel. Fall is coming, and that always puts me in mind of woodland creatures, for some reason, and spooky stuff, for the obvious reasons. I love ghosts, I think of them as rather sweet and harmless - 30 years of frequent visits to the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland will do that to you, I think. I think the Squirrel Ghost is a kindly gentleman who might rustle some leaves in his favorite tree from time to time, but no worse. He's the sidekick of another character I made up this month. More to come!

Squirrel Ghost is absolutely adorable
Sweet! The frame definitely makes him more gentlemanly.
I can't wait to see the Squirrel Ghost's companion...
and the gold frame sets him off to perfection.
belated welcome back! and yay for drawings! I can't wait. squirrel ghost is awesome, an excellent sidekick :)

I love how you have Baroqued it up with a guilded frame, great contrast to the simple blue lines. I think that if they unfroze Walt he would graciously add Ghost Squirrel to the Haunted Mansion ride.
oh thank you for indulging me!
i LOVE squirrel ghose - ESP. in the gold frame and can't wait for more ! [his x nose is perfection!]
He's adorable, I can just see him rustling those leaves in his tree.
I love your squirrel ghost! He looks like a very proud knows what's he is doing no nonsense ghost, except for rustling some leaves here and there like you said. But he is definitely not the type who likes to take aim and throw nuts at innocent bystanders.
Cute and spooky! So glad you're back!
Booo! Adorable...just in time for the spooky month....maybe you can make a little button for Bloggers in Spookyville, hehehehe.
heehee! cute. glad you decided to share some. ;-)
I love this guy (though he's a ghost, I'm sure he's a Fiendly Ghost like Casper). Great to see these posted! More, I say!
tres mignon!
He's adorable... yet scary! I know what you mean about having ghoulish things in mind... it's mid-September and I can only think of the leaves changing, chilly nights, and Halloween!
So glad you're back! I checked your blog almost every day while you were away - just in case! That sounds a little full-on and vaguely stalker-ish but with glorious posts like squirrel ghost, who can blame me?
So adorable. Reminds me of Casper the Friendly Ghost, only a million times cuter.

belated welcome back!
