Jess, just thought you'd like to see the fruit of your labours: Kate, by me!
I hope you like her!
She was super easy to make and knit up surprisingly fast. I substituted a more economical and washable acrylic for the recommended wool yarn. That way, I was able to purchase six different skeins and knit one up in pinks and tan and one, not pictured, in purples and cream. I used buttons for eyes.
My nieces love their new friends.
I made a version of Kate, pic on my blog, you have to scroll down a bit though.
I was wondering I inquired about sending a money order for a booklett about a month ago. Did you save one for me?
If not, could you out of your next batch? Thanks!
hi jess!! i saw your book on fred flare before i even read this on your blog! congratulations! that is so cool!
thanks for the Fredflare link. My son must have one of those robots - or his childhood simply will not be complete.
Cabbage Patch Kids? Baby Einstein? Elmo? BAH.
