ghostly

I wish you a most joyous Halloween. Here's a lovely ghost I purchased from bluecalico, of wool and water - she can also be found on flickr. What a sad and serene face, it's just too lovely. Check out her illustrations as well, so beautiful.

More of her ghosts can be found here.

This time of year is always so strange for me - I love the holidays, and my birthday is only a few weeks away, but the darkness, the damp and chill in the air, and the dead leaves on the ground make me feel a bit sad. I was just thinking about how the fall and winter holidays help make it all more bearable - and how!

That ghost is amazing. What a creative spin on a traditional Halloween decoration. I was so thrilled when I opened my mailbox today and found that your booklet had arrived!! Can't wait to get started on a project from it!

That's a sweet little ghost. Sorry the dreariness makes you sad - I think it has that effect on most people. But I love it - it energizes me! Too much sunshine makes me grumpy.

I also love cold days and nights. Nothing makes me happier than walking outside and it being so cold that I have to get a scarf and some gloves.

I really should move to Alaska.

I also can't seem to be inspired to knit during the summer months, which is kind of dumb since we live in San Francisco, and the summer is usually more miserable than the winter, but there it is.

Me, I think the ghost looks pretty contented...you could almost say that he/she's resting in peace!

Hi Jess--just a quick note to say that I received your booklet in the mail today, and it looks terrific. Congratulations! I can't wait to get started...if I could only decide which one to knit first...

Hi Jess,

I received your booklet in the mail yesterday and it's soooo wonderful! My 4 year old (who isn't usually all that enamored with my knitting) immediately asked me to make him a robot! You've done a great job and I can't wait to get started.

Sara
